Family Ties
Welcome to Her Mother's Daughter Antiques, located in Hanover, Ontario. Since 2001 we have been providing quality antique furniture and antique stained glass to our customers.
Like a fine family heirloom, our love of the beautiful craftsmanship of our furniture has been passed down from mother to daughter. Mary resides in south-western Ontario, while her daughter, Shawn, searches for pieces made in southern Saskatchewan and southern Manitoba, handcrafted in the late 19th Century - early 20th Century.
Although we sell a variety of antiques and antique stained glass, our focus is upon furnishings made in the traditional manner by first generation settlers, or brought with them from their countries of origin. Four major groups of immigrants were especially relevant on the Canadian Prairies: Mennonites, Hutterites, Ukrainians and Doukhobors and it is their handmade furniture we love.
